Excellent monitor, vivid colors and clear text. I was expecting a lot, and this monitor did not disappoint. I did encounter some nasty blurriness and it took me 30 minutes of scrounging through the control panel to find the ”flat panel scaling mode” settings that brought things back into crystal clear focus. With the exception of that one difficulty, this monitor makes an excellent ”other” half of my dual monitor setup.

I was extremely disappointed with this monitor. I always thought ViewSonic had a great reputation. But, you do get what you pay for. The text rendering is terrible, black comes in as sort of a brownish grayish black. I cannot get the text to be sharp enough, no matter what settings I tinker with. Also if you look closely or on a black background, you can seem some problems with the refresh rate, which by the way, you can’t adjust.

I have had my VX2240w for about 6 months. I LOVE it! It’s clear bright and very configurable. Tiger shipped it to me in about 3 days and it arrived in perfect shape. I wish it was height adjustable but other than that, I couldn’t be more pleased. No stuck pixels and I watch HD DVD movies on it all the time. Clear as a bell! Make sure your video card supports the 1680×1050 resolution and you should be very pleased. It is a great value.

This monitor is by far the best monitor I have ever purchased. Fast delivery to the B.V.I. I ordered it on Monday and it got here Friday. That’s impressive seeing as though I don’t live in the United States. This monitor is the window for my Extreme Machine. Keep an eye out for it. Thanks TigerDirect.

This is the third VX2240w that we purchased this year. If you are looking for the Best of the Best…this is it. ViewSonic has been our choice for the last 9 years. Our design/development teams love the true bright and warm colors. This unit will be desk top with the hardware included. the others are wall mount.. very nice.. Be sure your Puter is capable of the 1680×1050 resolution this beast likes..this is a given for most folks updating anything on a computer…but the 2 reviews from the guys that did not check first are sad…like purchasing your new dream car and complaining to the manufacturer that its too big for your garage..lmao….so heads up..eyes open. Also..it is BIG ..the one review sounded shocked that it was sooo big that they had to turn left and right to see the whole screen…again..if you are not ready for a top quality,bright,true color monitor that’s BIG.. Dont order this one.. Delivery was fast (3days) Great company to do business with..(hat tip)Thanks
