These are fabulous. I also travel with the Sennheiser CX300’s which are earbuds. These are faster, smoother on the high end, and have better resolution than the earbuds, but the CX300’s have what sounds like an extra octave of bass; with a little less resolution in the midrange. The PXC250’s use active noise cancelling and it works very well in airplanes. When you are in a quiet environment, you just use them like regular headphones. Another great product from Sennheiser!

I had a pair of these headphones which were stolen and replaced them by buying the same model. They are great headphones for the $$$. They work well in both normal and noise cancelation mode. It is only on the loudest planes do I have problems but then I can’t hear crying babies either.
