first sata, works great, put it in n external enclosure ( vantec nexstar 2) using esata. a tip for you people, remove the jumper on the hard drive to have full 3Gb/s data transfer rate, the the jumper is only used to max it out to 1.5GB/s for mobos only capable of up to 1.5Gb transfer rate. but all in all, great hard drive.

I’ve bought 2 of these drives and they work perfectly. I have one as the boot drive, plus an extra for my personal work. The work drive seems like it shuts off when not in use, which is good. It saves energy that way.

Very good…you get the most for your buck on this deal. Just dont do what I did, and bought it before I knew 3 gb/sec would work with my motherboard. But I got lucky.

This drive is very fast, and extremely quiet for its price point. I was pleasently surprised and impressed by both aspects. I have used it now for 2 months, after replacing a crappy Samsung drive in an HP Pavilion computer that lasted only 15 months

Bought one as an experiment - Fantastic, nice and quiet, in addition to the bonus of 16mb memory cache will be getting at least three more to upgrade both computers for the operating systems. Great deal at the price and Tiger’s always on top of the shipping game.

Fantastic Harddrive, I Purchased 5 of these and there all lighting fast. I have purchase over 50 Seagate harddrives in the past 3 yrs and I would say. Seagate has the best warrantys and returns and Great service. I have only had 2 fail over the years.
