DO NOT BUY a Septre TV. They are one of the few LCD TV companies who will not guarantee their pixels. My TV had several bad pixels which resulted in a bright green spot always present on the picture. They would not replace the TV so I returned and replaced it with a VIZIO who do guarantee their pixels.

This TV doesn’t do black. Don’t even think of hooking this up to a stardard 480p DVD player unless you don’t care about picture quality. Artifacts galore poor performance with motion. Overall, i’d spend another $200 and get something else. Unless you just want an LCD that looks good when its off.

I love this TV!! I use it with my ps3 for blu-rays and for games and the picture is truly amazing! I had a 40 inch polaroid lcd tv with a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 8ms, and 1080i support but that tv didnt even have half of the picture of this tv. I realize that this tv doesnt have a native 1080p resolution (it upscales it) nut the picture is still great. The only downside is that is has 2 dead pixels, but that doesn’t bother me because they are not noticeable. If i could, I would rate this tv 8 stars out of 5.

I bought this TV 2 weeks ago and have a 1080P blu-ray and 1080i HD dvd as well as directv 1080i Colors are a huge upgrade over my 1080i Dell. I am amazed at the quality of blacks and whites and the vivid colors. I am very happy with the TV and highly recommend it. Also display exterior trim is very beautiful with high black gloss and silver trim real sharp.
