Just received my monitor. Upgraded from a 19” LCD and I am overwhelmed with all the new space a 24” provides. I am a little upset that it had 1 dead pixel. It’s near the top so I guess that’s fine. The only ”Getting use to” you’ll discover is things appear a little ‘’strectched” more than normal (hence widescreen) if you are upgrading from a normal LCD to Widescreen .. but in no way do I mean in a bad way. Widescreen is the next generation display format and it’s great. But in my honest opinion, I would have been just as happy with a 22” as this 24” is massively huge and I think I have too much space now :) All in all, very happy! -Peter

Great performance for great price. The closest comparable product for $80 more and had worse performance specs Have used LCD for four weeks so far. On the downside, arrived with one dead pixel. The dead pixel repairs itself after about 1 hour of monitor use. The casing and stand are made of really cheap black mat plastic. Stand is more stable than other reveiwers led me to believe. Stand does tilt between 0 and 10 degrees (not great but, again, contrary to what others have said about the product.) Also of note, native resolution is 1920 X 1200

Overall, this is a great monitor that has very few flaws. Positives: Great size and resolution - especially when you are upgrading from a 17”. It works especially good for games and I’ve also found that I can multi-task better since I can now have two large windows up on the screen side by side. Tiger Direct shipped this very fast - I had it set up in less than 5 days after purchase. Negatives: I had one dead pixel. No DVI cable was included.

Good value, had one ‘’stuck” pixel out of the box but managed to fix it by applying pressure to the screen. All in all, I am happy with the features and performance considering the pixel flaw I had when I set it up. Without question, for gaming, it’s amazing- I could hook up my plasma HDTV to the computer but don’t want to risk burn damage; this LCD is an acceptable alternative for the price.

Very nice Color, very bright good quality this screen is a really good screen for that price i would buy anytime… no dead pixel… my cons:there’s a free screws inside the screen i can hear it when moving it, secondly theres no DVI cable included… but still 5 star coz its so cheap for a very good screen. I was sceptic toward sceptre… definately a good screen!

Very good, recieved as always in record time with no delays. The monitor has NO dead pixels and performs flawlessly. I highly recommend this monitor for the price point and have no complaints.

AWESOME! Bought mine about a month ago… all I can say is anyone who reviews it poorly probably never read the manual. I have NO dead pixels, the image is spectacular (1080p is off the HOOK!). What I mean is that those who complain of washed out color PROBABLY didn’t turn on the DCR like it tells you in the manual… and those complaining about the refresh rate PROBABLY didn’t turn their ”overdrive” option up. There is some benefit to occasionally reading a manual. I bought my mother a 22” LG 2ms 3000:1 1600×1050(about) for xmas, and this blows the LG out of the water in terms of picture quality and value. I HIGHLY reccomend purchasing this monitor (just make sure you READ THE MANUAL to set it up properly, or you’ll end up like one of these poor saps writing reviews that think they have a bad product, when all they have is a lack of understanding about it’s functionality ;-) ). -J

This is a very good monitor. I play Halo 2, COD 4, Airborne, etc., with absolutely no issues. Be sure to update your video drivers to take advantage of the 1440×900 resolution. No dead pixels and quick shipping by TigerDirect. I don’t use the speakers and where I keep the system, it is very stable so I don’t have any problems with the monitor stand. Highly recommend

Great monitor for the price. Worked great out of the box. Vista 64-bit picked it up right away. Colors are good. Dot pitch is good. Only thing I don’t like is the lack of an included DVI cable and the fact that you can’t adjust the angle with the included stand. Great monitor for the price though. I’d buy it again.

This monitor isn’t as good as the Dell’s top end thats for sure… but its still pretty damn good. I bought 2 of them. I had to play around a bit at first for them to get working with Duelview on my 8800gt…. but it works fine for games and everything. my only complaint is the brightness thing ‘DCR” (i’m a monitor noob) i have it turned on and it looks great but if the monitor has no white on it it will go rather faded and not stay as vivid bright…. of course there might be a way around this i’m just lazy…. lulz.

very nice screen very bright almost to bright haven’t played any games on it yet but I’m sure it will be good had to take a star cause of one dead pixel shipping was great it was right on time thank you very much

Got 4 days ago. Works great except after 2 days I got a dead pixel. I will put up with the dead pixel because of warrenty hassels. I would probably go for a more realiable model if I had to do over. I guess you get what you pay for in terms of quality. The performance of this baby in terms of speed is really very good.

For all you wanting a 24” monitor with a a lot realestate for less money, this is a good buy. Contrast is excellent I give it a (4 out of 5), brightness could be better a(3.5 out of 5)(but what do you want for $299) With the 50 dollar rebate this qualifies as a good buy from Tiger. Bottom line very happy with the purchase. Products and prices like this keep me coming back to Tiger Direct.

REVIEW BY: TurboShark Reviewed Jan 26, 2008

The monitor is a good value but not for those who are picky about their display. The colors aren’t as bright as the more expensive monitors I have mine next to a higher-end 20” Dell UltraSharp which seems to have nicer colors, sharpness & better viewing angles. I played with the controls a ton but really cant get it as good as the Dell. The vertical viewing angle is not the best. On such a big screen when you look at the middle of the screen, the top looks a bit dark - and if you raise your head a little higher, it lightens up. When you are further away, it’s not a big a deal like if you are watching a movie, but if you are sitting close using the computer or playing a game that’s when you notice it the most. I like the size. 24” seems to be great for 1920×1200 resolution and things are a perfect size at that res. Movies and TV show average. Overall a great deal. At $299 you can’t touch it. It’s just not those who want/need the best viewing display & can afford it.

Terrible Product Line. Why Costly to service in terms of money and time with their warranty. I bought a TWO 21 inch, the first failed in 3 days, the second in a month. To warranty, you pay shipping one way to California, remember this is not a light product. I had to pay brokerage fees $90, this is NOT warned of in a warranty for a product which must be serviced outside of Canada and not covered by the warranty. The first unit I returned for a full refund, the second serviced, Got it back in 3 weeks, failed again in 3 DAYS !!!. The technician admitted there was a fault with this model. I gave up because it was costing me to service under warranty and I could NOT use Tigers service counter because it was purchased via the catalogue! I would NEVER, buy another product, where service, under warranty is outside the country because you still have to pay brokerage fees. THIS ONE WAS A REAL LOSS, no chance for a refund. Minus $500 and 10 days use!

Just got this in by TigerDirect, moving up from my old 19” CRT to this 24” Widescreen monster! Definitely amazing size, quality, and lightweight! Games run pretty well, only slight ghosting, but not too problematic. Very nice price for this fantastic LCD. No regrets.

REVIEW BY: gryz Reviewed Jan 17, 2008

This monitor itslef is simply wonderful! It is so bright! Not a single dead pixel! Two issues: 1) The monitor should be lower to the desk for good ergonomics. 2) It comes with a VGA cable not a DVI cable.

REVIEW BY: Kain243 Reviewed Jan 13, 2008

Amazing monitor…made the jump from a 19” regular to wide screen and certainly not sorry I did. Excellent price for an above 1080p viewing experience. Games at 1920 x 1200 are ridiculous as well as movies, no ghosting to be seen definitely recommend. Came with 1 stuck pixel and no DVI cable but neither is a real problem…get a DVI cable for like 3.99$. Integrated speakers are a joke but who’d use them nyway.

REVIEW BY: Anonymous Reviewed Jan 12, 2008

Good value for price, but worst set of extras I’ve ever seen - comes only with basic VGA cable, not even DVI adapter or additional cable! Had to go to website to get .inf file, and even then, had to use ”Vista” .inf for XP Pro. Limited adjustment capability and slightly below average viewing angles. No dead pixels. Resolution is great, response time is (subjectively) slower than 2ms, but good. Picture quality is fair - I have consistent color fade and scintillation with scaled desktops and photos. Dynamic brightness/contrast is nice, but far too slow to be useful under most circumstances. For gaming and photo editing, look elsewhere. Would not buy again.

I have owned this monitor for about 5 hours, so this is a report of initial satisfaction. It is bright, crisp, and has good HD (1080p +) performance (tested on an Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive). I have also tested it with oblivion, fear, prey, and CS source at native resolution (1920×1200) and see no ghosting or lag related to the monitor. It arrived with NO DEAD PIXLES! Overall this monitor lives up to all of my expectations for a low price that IMHO makes this monitor a great in initial quality. Peace, Ken

Im a Tiger (The Falls) Employee and that monitor is the best, if you really look at the specs its the exact same specs of the 24” Samsung. LOWER PRICES. I got the Sceptre and its BIG AND NICE 1080p you can go wrong. NO DEAD PIXELS. I put a Bose sound system with it and my Gateway GM5474 (good video card). GREAT PERFOMANCE. DVI rather than the VGA. TIGER ROCKS.
