Tried two different monitors (after returning first on RMA) and neither would work at native resolution (1680×1050). Desktop was off the screen. Tech support blames video card, but tried it on a friend’s system which used an Acer 22” that was already working at 1680×1050 and it still didn’t work. Beware!

Same thing as another user posted. DVI port died right after Warranty went out. Went and bought an Xbox 360 and HDMI cable and that doesn’t work either because THAT port died. Even though while it worked it was amazing, it’s a horrible piece of work with a short life span. Running this on VGA after using it with DVI for so long makes me cry inside. Run for the hills folks.

WORST MONITOR I’VE EVER PURCHASED! Had it a year now. Immediately after purchased contacted support about a dead pixel in the center of the screen (a red dot). They told me that 1 bad pixel was within acceptable quality limits. 4 months later started having display problems and was told my video card was going bad. The nVidia 6800GS card that was about a year old and out of warranty so I purchased a 6800XT as a temporary card until I built my new PC. After a week I started having the display problems again. Turns out the DVI port on the monitor is bad and my 6800GS still works. Purchased a DVI to HDMI cable but that port was also bad giving the same bad display as the DVI port. To use the monitor I have to use the VGA cable instead. If I wanted a VGA video connection I would have stayed with my CRT monitor! I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this POS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have had my 22” monitor since Feb. 2007. Up until last week the monitor worked great with all my games. But as you would have it just after the warrenty expired the screen began to flicker to total blue and back and to reduced size. It got so bad I could no longer use it, I then switched with my wife and determined it was not the video card. After e-mails to Scepter, I was told it was the DVI switch going bad. It would cost me $150.00 plus shipping to get it repaired. To replace a part which no doubt cost them a fraction of this price and for the probable time to replace, it was not worth it. I will continue to use it as a VGA monitor until it dies, but, will not replace it with their product again. It is a shame I would have to pay half the cost to purchase it new and now can replace it with a new one for slightly more of another brand.

Buying is a gamble. Had a dead pixel right out of the box. Built in speakers leave something to be desired. On the other hand for the price, amazing display, makes me forget about the dead pixel. PC games(DVI) and xbox 360(HDMI) look spectacular! I am now playing my 360 on this monitor rather than my 47” projection HDTV. Like I said, with my experience and what I have read in other reviews its a gamble.
