I’m using my computer primarily for playing Second Life. I get a great peformance/fps,but the video card frequently crashes. Solved the issues with a viewer that uses less graphics - but would expect this videocard to handle ultra high settings without crashing.

This card is a beast, I did not buy it from tiger direct because they didn’t have it last week, or at least i didn’t see it on the site… I got this setup on a Asus striker formula II 780i and a Q6600. never have i seen a more beasty card. And make sure you have the room in your case. I have a Antec 900 case and i had to move the drive bay with the fan up just to setup my 2 extra harddrives that i use to dump files on. And for anyone still playing CS 1.6, turn on developer mode and put max fps to 1000, you’ll see it going around 600-700

Ordered at 4:30 pm and had it on my door step and 9am next morning. Running everything on max. around 125 fps on COD4. Not to loud, and run hot as expected. A very long and heavy card, so make sure you have the case to support it.

Fantastic Card. I have owned this for over a month now and I am VERY pleased with its performance! Can run Crysis on high settings 1680×1050 and I get zero lag, even when stuff explodes. I have vista 64-bit, 4 gb ram, Q6700, this card and XFX 680i LT for a computer. Runs at about 53C idle and up to 75C under load. Final comments: Can’t wait to buy another one!

A real bad card, don’t buy it. The driver won’t support multiple displays, and you can hear a scratching sound from the card. Oh yea and customer support will tell you that they can’t do anything about it.

By far nVIDIA has dominated the graphics and visual computing world by it’s latest top of the line series the Gefroce 9800 GX2. XFX is a certified board partner for nVIDIA products and the performance of this card is outrageous. If you’re looking to build a strong SLI system pair two of this card together onto an nForce 790i ultra based motherboard and get the ultimate experience from the gaming world.

this card rocks! most games will read it as SLI enabled ”If game supports it” this means if you were able to put 3 of them in your CPU it would read 6 GPU’s. Now i say if b/c i can’t find a power supply that has more than 2x 8-pins to power. plus most of the new mobos out need an 8-pin to help power.

I really like this card. Yes, it is a little pricey, but I like the performance. I went from an Evga 8800 GTX Superclocked Edition Card to this. This card is quite a bit faster. My 3DMark06 score went from 12500 to 16400. This card does overclock quite nice… at least better than my 8800 GTX did. I did not see any issues with heat. A lot of reviews bad mouthed the card saying it ran way too hot and pumped all of the heat inside of the case. Well, that may be true, but I ain’t seeing it. My case temp stayed the same. If I overclock the card it will reach 70C. If I don’t then it stays about 60ish. I do agree with the reviews in that 2 lower end cards will match this single card, and at a reduced price. I got this card looking towards the future. Probably sometime in the summer I will get a second 9800 GX2 and then I should be set. And… in Quad this card can not be touched right not… especially by 2 8800 GT, GTS, GTX, etc. I’m happy, no regrets.

Excellent video card! (Yes I used $1200 to purchase 2 cards for SLI.) However, when I benchmarked ONE Nvidia 9800 GX2 to a Nvidia 8800 GT in Crysis, similar FPS were produced. However, this card WILL OWN any game out in the market for now SLI or not for good deal of time. If you have the money, but this card. ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY.

The card is good, but I mounted 3 120mm fans on the massive hs/f of the palit 8800gt +1gb to keep it cool, did a volt-mod and overclocked it. I benched both cards and because of the volt mod, larger hs/f, more ram, and same memory bit interface and I could get the 8800gt to be faster. The 9800gtx is good, but not worth it.

Bought this with the XFX 790i MOBO and it is a great video card that works in perfectly with my future plans for my PC. The game play with just this one card is enough for me, but when prices do come down I plan on adding one or two more to my system. This card is huge so you need a big case to fit more than one.
