Great monitor. I have had the SyncMaster712N (very similar) for 3 years now and have had no problems. I am planning on purchasing another to set up duel monitors. This monitor is great for the price.

This monitor is awesome. Color and clarity are spectacular. Just got this monitor last week for my wife and she loves it. Guys, let me tell you, I’m getting *way* more mileage from this monitor than a box of chocolates!!!

This was a good purchase. This monitor was not only a great value for a 17” LCD but the performance has been excellent. The refresh time is invisible and the clarity of picture is precise. The heat emitted from the unit has caused some concern for product longevity but has never been too hot to touch (this has been an issue for each LCD in the home). Once when using the same program for several hours (telecommuter) some ”ghosts” were on the screen after program termination but turning off the monitor for a few minutes removed this issue - overall the best LCD purchase for us to date.

An excellent monitor. Clear and crisp picture, fast response for video games. Out of the box plug and play with WinXP. I am really impressed with the quality and durability of Samsung. At work we use nothing but. My manager periodically takes his frustration out by socking his flat-panel in the center (not lightly), and has done so for most of a year. His monitor is still going strong.

This is my first desktop flat panel monitor. I have had plenty of experiance with laptop panels, and was concerned that I would not be able to get good enough quality out of an lcd for my desktop. This monitor performs well beyond my expectations! It is a great buy at an even better price! The thin case border and the simple styling help makes this monitor look even better whether it is on or off.
