If you care about image quality, and consistent color on the display, this is it. Other monitors may be cheaper for the size, but if you do any kind of graphic design work or image work, this beats any of the other displays. One thing I learned is to stay away from displays that have 160 degree viewing angles as this means that is uses a cheaper display technology which may be fine for general computing use or gaming, but is a killer if you want consistent color on the display. I did purchase a Samsung 2693HM but quickly learned a lesson about display types. The 2693HM uses at TN LCD which results in a darker display at the top than at the bottom and if you move you head just a bit the display will change colors. This does not happen with the 245T which uses an S-VPA panel resulting is a much more consistent display from top to bottom and wide viewing angles. This is what I was hoping for. So while a bit pricey, still cheaper than an Apple 23 inch display and the quality is there.
