I wish I had read reviews before getting quickly suckered in by its price tag. I just spent a full afternoon with tech support on the phone. Quite an experience when your European accented English clashes with some Indian accent. At least the Techie Guy was patient. Thanks God I had two more laptops with both Vista and XP + Linux on them. Just after the Techie Guy gave up and blamed my D-link router it started working by itself. First 1Mbps than 18Mbps than full 54 Mbps. Ony for a couple hours though. Overheats so bad that it is almost too hot to touch, drops connection even though its about 10 feet away from the router. DON’T BOTHER! Spend your Buck for some other brand.

Works great! If you just follow the instructions stated (Install the drivers FIRST before connecting the adapter) and you’ll have no problems. The drivers don’t come with the adapter so you’ll have to download them on your own. Can’t be beat for the price. I have it hanging off the backend of my mediaPC so it gets cooled off by PSU fan. No problems at all.

I found this item to be a good value for the money. It is not at all unusual for refurbished product to be sold without manuals or included software. I found it painless to download the software and install it prior to using the hardware. The configuring was a little confusing but overall it took less than 20 mins from opening the box to being on-line wirelessly. If you have a the computer savvy of the average 5-year-old, you should have no problem setting up and installing this product. A bonus is the included USB extender cable which can help you position the unit for the best possible signal strength.

This has to be the clumsiest set up I have ever run across. First, they tell you to go to netgear.com to download the drivers. What idiot came up with this; if I had an internet connection from this computer, I wouldn’t need this product… and it goes all down hill from here. Save your money…I know I will never look at another Netgear product and I never got far enough to see if this thing even works.

I bought 2 pcs, both of them are defected.(I checked it with Netgear Support customer service). Serial # of the product N/A, because it’s been refurbished. In this case Netgear Technical support offers you only PAID support, or complaing by email.
