Very unprofessional in both appearance and functionality. Very sluggish/slow response on my self-built AMD 2.8ghz/ 4gb DDR2 /512mb DDR3 SLI-Nivida machine. The software seems to have a lot of features, but really just multiple ways to accomplish the same task. Windows Movie/DVD maker works just as good and it is free with Windows. There are other freeware available for download to fill in the gaps. When installing the software, it wants to immediately install bloat-ware. You have to watch this carefully as it tries 3 different times. I expect that from $20.00 software, but not from $80.00 software. Defiantly not worth the price. If you already have the OEM version that came pre-installed, stay with that. The upgrade isnt worth the cost and really dont do much more than what you already have. I asked for a refund from Nero, but was denied.

I downloaded it twice directly from Nero and it was a bust. I had to go back to version 6.6 in order to fix my computer which went haywire after installing and using version 8.

This release of Nero has so many features it’s hard to believe all of the tings it can do. It has ”Quick-Start” versions of common applications like Data burning and such, but there are some awesome other utilities such as the ability to make DVDs from DIVX files and a media server that can stream audio and video to your 360 or PS3 even over wireless! My copy downloaded fine and worked great. The License hiccuped a bit when I tried to re-install it after the OS got reloaded, but it’s all good now. I had an older OEM version and this one is much more complete.

This software does not work. I caused my computer to shut off, not shut down, shut off. I contacted Nero support and received a four page list of hoops to jump through in order to make it work. I downloaded the update from Nero and my computer shut off again. Do not waste your time or money on this software. I am running Windows Xp Pro, 2.5GB Ram, 320 Gb hard drive, which met all needed criteria from Nero. Their software just does not work.
