I’ve had my Navigon for just a couple weeks but have been very happy with the performance. The Photo-Realistic 3D Images work great and pop up as you approach the exit/intersection and go away immediately after you go throught the exit/intersection. The device worked flawlessly driving from my home in Michigan to downtown Chicago and return. The delay finding the satelite when you first turn it on is just a minute or two. The only thing that I could find that was off a little was my home address by about 100 feet. But every exit I passed seemed to be right on. The device looks and feels like it is better quality wise than other GPS units that I have seen. I did notice that Tiger Direct lowered the price by $50 a week after my purchase.

I bought the Navigon 7100 on Mon and it came the next day (Thanks Tiger Direct!!!) First off, the unit will take a bit of getting used to, the unit sometimes seems to lock up during route calculations and other times it gives you directions right away. Talking to tech support I found out that this is normal as sometimes it needs more time. Very accurate giving directions and knowing where I am at. It’s way more accurate than the Magellan I had. Waited for Tech Support about 10 min, man on the other end spoke perfect English. Glad to know we have some American tech support still out there. Overall, the unit works great, reality view works, and is very accurate!! THANKS NAVIGON!!!

Try calling customer support. Do you like listening to really bad elevator music for at least 15 minutes? Try updating your 7100. 6 hours to download because of Navigon’s servers. Yes - I have a high speed T-1 connection. Once again - before you buy this product - try calling their customer support number… really disappointed in this product and their lack of customer service. By the way - don’t even think their ”free” traffic service is comparable to the subscription service - it’s not even close.

I have had the Navigon 7100 for little over 6 month more and I am totally satisfied. The free traffic updates are terrific and a step above the rest. The price just keeps dropping which is perfect for anyone considering buying a new GPS unit. Battery life is about 2.5 hours satellite acquisition is slow if the unit has been off for a while, like most other units!!! Start up is less than a minute when used frequently!!! Sometimes street names are mispronounced but over all, it is a bargain!!! ILOVE MHY NAVIGON 7100!!!

I am the kind of person that researches before making a purchase. I researched several GPS units over the past couple of years and watched their progress as time went by. I reviewed the more familiar brands we see advertised such as Tom Tom and Garmin. I found that these products required and still do additional commitments in order to receive the fullest capabilities they have to offer even though their advertising misleads them somewhat as a complete GPS unit. The Navigon 7100 is packaged complete ready to go. No hassle, No additional commitments with signing up with outside resources to make the product work to its fullest capabilities, and No additional invested time especially when we live such busy lives anyway. The Navigon has nothing but great convenience in more ways than one. I have read some reviews from other sites and was totally amazed. Most bad reviews can be discounted as a customer who doesn’t generally read directions and may have problems comprehending elemen …
