Motorola V3 Razr
Unlocked GSM Phone Satin Pink!

The famed Motorola RAZR is now available in an eye-catching satin pink color. Seeded to a select group of fashion elite and Hollywood “it” girls, this svelte mobile boasts advanced technology, superlative design and enticing color while its shocking measurements make it one of the slimmest phones on the market. Rich functionality, performance excellence and design innovation give the user a total sensory experience – from photo messaging to hands free connections to superlative metallic finishes.

The Moto Razr V3 is expertly crafted to deliver exceptional performance. Inside the ultra-thin design are advanced features like MPEG4 video playback, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a digital camera and more. And with the precision-cut keypad, minimalist styling and metal finish, the V3 looks just as beautiful as it performs. Plus, the Motorola V3 Razr works on these GSM Networks: GSM 850, 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900.

The real difference is in the details. See who’s calling, in color, without opening your phone — the large internal display is complemented by an impressive external display. The precision-cut metal keypad reacts to the lightest of touches. And the features you can’t always see are equally impressive, like quad-band GSM — for global calls where GSM network coverage and roaming agreements are present.

So it’s pretty. Can it make phone calls? Look at the V3i - can add memory chip, interface to PC through phone’s mini-USB port. V3 - has same mini-USB port, but the cheapskates at Motorola only use it to charge the battery. There’s no upgradeable or removable memory and you cannot interface the phone to a PC. What’s the point? Avoid the V3, even if you just want a basic phone. It’s a throwback to five years ago in it’s inability to interface with PCs.

I got this phone for my wife for Valentine’s day. It was branded for Vodafone, so I had to update some of the settings to make the more advanced t-mobile features work, such as t-zones and MMS messaging. I still haven’t figured out how to make the voicemail message waiting indicator work. The edit for this is different than for my V360. Most of the other settings can be configured through the phone or through the t-mobiel website. Otherwise it’s a nice phone.

Just to let you know, this phone is not the same satin pink you would find at the Bell/Rogers retail store. It is a shade or two darker then that, but much softer then the Magenta Razr. Other then that, the phone works great.

I purchased a pink one of these for my daughter for Christmas. Out of the box, some assembly is required (battery, SIM card and battery cover), the charger on mine had an EU line plug but an EU to US adapter was included. ”Akku mir geladen” means ”battery needs charging” in German :-) but after charging the battery, all messages were in English (a menu lets you select which language you want it to use). On powerup I got ”No Service”, which worried me (I can see the cell tower) until I read the manual which pointed me to the menu item allowing you to scan for available GSM networks, then select the one you want to associate with. As soon as I selected Cingular, I was able to get service and make a call. Very nice phone, well packed and fully functional, with protective plastic and all manuals (in four languages!) A small ”leather?” carrying case is also included.
