T42’s are a couple years old. I needed low cost, reliable, XP Pro laptops - and these fit the bill. I’ve bought 4 of these in the past 2 months. First off, they are used - I’m guessing off of a lease program. Minor scratches, dings, etc are common. Comes with 3 MONTH warranty, and I had 1 unit with problems upon arrival. Tigerdirect won’t credit or replace, but Lenovo will repair under warranty. Expecting a 7-10 day turnaround. The batteries are used too, so don’t expect full charges. These aren’t an outstanding deal, but it’s a well designed, quality machine that should give several more years of service. Just hope your previous user was good to it…
