This is a very good Laptop for the price and will beat other laptops that are even a couple of 100 dollars more expensive than this. I bought this when TigerDirect had a special going on for $499 (A/R). Very similar to a $2500 Thinkpad T series - T61p in construction. However, I would recommend buying at least 2 more GB of PC2-5300/5400 RAM to use Vista flawlessly. Also, TigerDirect is nice in leaving one memory slot empty for easy memory upgrade.
