This processor is awesome!!!!! I got the SLACR Version, so it stays cooler than my pentium D, which is a surprise, because the cooler is stock! It is also quieter than my old fan! Right now i am currently running with a nforce 650i ultra, 2gb OCZ Gold, Geforce 8400 512mb, 450 watt ps, and 2 hard drives, totaling 450gbs, THIS PROCESSOR ROCKS, buy it and you wont ever regret it!!!

The only way to make this processor better is to make it free. I built a system of second bests and coulldn’t be happier. Intel DP35DP m/b, Intel Q6600(Kentsfield) NOT overclocked, 4GB Ultra Dual-channel 800 Mhz RAM, XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB@600Mhz, 2 x 320GB SATA Seagate Barracudas, ATSC-NTSC hybrid tuner card, SD/CF/MS/MMC drive, SATA DVDRW, USB 3.5” 1.44MB floppy, USB wireless keyboard & mouse, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, all powered by OCZ 600 Watt PSU. Nothing I’ve seen is faster.

Very good Product. I build a new computer recently (For gaming + doing home work) stay low trempeture wiht my fan , very stable. I bought one of these g0 stepping q6600’s in october of ‘07, and have been running it at 3.6Ghz ever since. Originally I had a evga 680i ar launch board that would’nt overclock at all, but after contacting evga they sent me a new a1 board that fixed my quad core overclocking. I have been running it at a reduced 8x multiplier(instead of 9x) with a FSB of 1800Mhz. I also am using OCZ 1066Mhz SLI EPP memory, and a thermalright ultra 120 extreme heatsink with a 120×38 Silenx extrema fan. I had always had issues with stability overclocking my older p4 systems, but this system is rock solid and now my only bottleneck is the hard drive. I would reccommend this to any overclocker as the absolute best value in performace to price ratio when overclocked.

I bought this a few months ago for my new build. It runs very stable and it’s fast. This has been the best investment I could make for my pc.
