I needed to replace my 19” flat panel (4×3 ratio), and needed more desktop real estate (I’m a software developer and have multiple windows open all the time: visual studio, virtual machines, SQL Server, etc). My first priority was it had to be crystal clear from ALL viewing angles (if I have to stare at the monitor for hours every day, I want to reduce any eye fatigue) - this display is top notch! Graphics are also razor sharp (matched with my ATI x1300 all in wonder), for both movies and games. Does this display compare to Apple’s 23” display - yes it does (I looked at that too - only they run about $1,400) - actually, I think they are pretty much identical as far as image & text quality are concerned (plus the HP is 24” and about $700 less). If you are serious about purchasing a quality display for games, movies, or crystal clear text, you cannot go wrong with this beauty from HP.
