Great deal for a no-frills notebook. Virtually no external controls, no blinking LEDs, nothing I didn’t need. Another gig of ram would be nice for vista.

I’ve had several computers and built many in my life, I found HP to be the best yet The HP 530 with Vista Business is as powerful as my hopped up desktop which also is a hp You cannot go wrong with this laptop I even gave it the dummy test such as accidently dropping it and putting 1gb of memory in it while still turned on and running if you don’t like it then you won’t like any other either. Thanks again Tiger and HP you guys should merge.

This is a remarkable deal. After the configuration (which was lengthly due to it being an HP system) it ran satisfactorily, even with Vista Business. After upgrading the memory to two gigs, it ran great. I will be buying another one very soon.
