I purchased 3 of these monitors to be used with HP Business nc6230 laptops with XP Pro. The driver included was only for Vista and the native resolution of the monitor was NOT supported by the laptops. Additionally, the frequency was out of range and they would not self-adjust. When contacting Hanns-G support, I was constantly directed to voicemail.

I am loving this thing! It is an great looking monitor, arrived in one piece with zero dead pixels. Install was a snap and Vista picked it up and ran. Even with my old graphics card this monitor has a wonderful picture. The price, if you have done your shopping, is great! I couldn’t find a better monitor for this price, in fact is is worthy of a higher price category for its quality.

An absolutely superb monitor with razor sharp clarity. An excellent value. The screen is evenly back lite with no dark areas around the edges or corners like I have seen on some monitors. I have also not seen any dead pixels. This monitor combined with my GeForce FX5000 series graphics card does an excellent job of displaying my Debian Linux desktop. I look forward to using this monitor to complete my computer science coding classes with (The fun classes begin in the Fall). It has been an especially nice to watch movies on a screen of a decent size (My own little home theater). I also like the feature of being able to secure the monitor to my desk with a laptop type security cable. Being there are only 3 or 4 LCD screen mfgs. world wide why not get the best possible value for your money during these recessionary times.

This is my second Hanns-G and I’ve never had any problem with either, zip on a dead pixel. The only thing that I disike is the location of there adjustment buttons and the adjustment screen display. Base is a little unstable but if no elephants walk by it’s fine. You might want to check…..but mine has no DVI port, it has analog and HDMI. 1000/1 is a big plus over 700/1 contrast (accents video card) and you won’t miss the .4” of display. Three year warranty tells me they have faith in there product, and it jives as soon as you plug it in. Big-Bang for the buck and this is a Hanns-G ”NOT A” HannSpree. Very pleased!

I love this monitor, I use windows xp pro, just hook it up & your done. I used a GeForce 7300 GT video card, set at 1680×1050. I reduced the brightness to 70%, classy elegant look, For $239 this is the best value I’ve seen. After holidays I plan on buying another
