I bought this computer to use as a second dedicated computer. I have for the most part always heard good things about Gateway, but have never owned one. I haven’t used all the features that came jam packed with this computer. I really liked the looks of this computer when I opened up the box. The only problem that I encountered was getting the mouse and keyboard to work after I hooked the unit up. It was frustrating as I had to contact Gateway a couple of times. I found out during the second call that instructions were in pdf format on the computer. This unit has worked great since I got everything to work. I have added memory, replaced the on-board sound and video with dedicated units that have enhanced the operations. Hopefully I will have several years of problem free operation.

It exceeded my expectations. It is jammed with features and the keyboard has extra keys that rival computer makers don’t have. Its nice that you can press a button on the keyboard and can hit internet or web mail and it goes to it instantly. Gateway never fails to amaze me. The remote control worked - lowered the volume and opened my pictures and videos with the press of a button. I placed the keyboard in my lap and started typing a letter with no problems or headaches at all! Gateway has an outstanding reputation for quality and innovation. This company will be around for a long time. Make sure you open the side door and connect the main power supply to the motherboard or will think it doesn’t work.Press the power button up and back or you may think there is a problem with the power button. That’s about it. Enjoy!
