My first digital camera, have always used regular 35mm Pentax camera. This little camera is great, small, easily carried, always ready. No more waiting to get film developed to see picture. This is the one to get for your first digital camera without spending alot.

Best digital camera I’ve owned so far. Construction is solid. Picture quality is great. Time between photos is minimal (this has always been a big drawback in my other cameras!). Battery life is great. This thing is small too. Fits nicely in front pants pocket. The video quality is above average. Bottom line, it’s the best camera for its price.

Amazing camera, This is my first digital camera and I simply love it, with the new processor it comes with it starts up in less than a second which is perfect for those quick moments. With all of the features and the performance of this camera I would expect it to cost much more than it does , if you are debating with this camera trust me just buy it you’ll be happy

I have never been compelled to write a review for anything I’ve ever bought, until now. This is my first digital camera and it is AMAZING. It is so simple to use and the pictures come out crystal clear! I will never go back to taking pictures with my cameraphone. The pictures of my friends and family are so clear. The functions are very simple and I was taking phenominal pictures in less than an hour. My favorite part is the SD card that now comes in 4GB+ !!! I can take unlimited pictures and videos at any event! The feature I use the most is the Macro feature for posting pictures of watch faces. I blog alot on watch collector forums and my pictures have won me awards like best photography and best watch pictures. I am very happy with TigerDirect for uniting me with this wonderful Canon.

They say you can’t get better quality than canon, and at this price, quality and value and together. This camera take amazing pictures and overall is fairly straight forward to use, even for a novice photographer. overall the menus can be overwhelming, and the best pictures will be if you just leave them on auto. most people should turn down the resolution, so to save space on your SD memory card. one pleasant surprise was the fact that canon includes a 32meg SD card with this camera, a rarity in new camera purchases. it isn’t very big, but a nice gesture to new users. The canon SD1000 is a great camera and tigerdirect.com makes it a great value. highly recommended.

I was a professional photographer years ago and have many film and digital cameras. This is one of my all time favorites since it is so small, yet packed with quality. It takes great pictures and can easily slide in my coat or shirt pocket so I can carry it anywhere. I’ve gotten some great pictures because I’m back to carrying a camera all the time.
