This processor is STILL the best thing since sliced breag for gamers and enthusiasts alike. If you have an AMD 2 or 2+ board, you can pop this in (don’t forget to apply thermal grease on the bottom of the fan base, evenly, small layer like with a business card) and take off. You do NOT have to have a: A hi tech, fancy CPU fan, nor do you have to fiddle with the power settings for the ram, PCIE or processor itself. The steppings are unlocked, so all you need to is go into the bios and increase your FSB settings until you have a stable point. I run two of these, one at 3.2 Ghz and use a stock fan. I have not touched anything else. Runs 24/7 in both an XP rig and a new Vista I just built. In the VIsta, it is the limiting factor, keeps my Experience index at 5.5, everything else is at 5.9. But use it, and you’ll see the ratings mean little as compared to actual performance. I have never seen this chip at this low price! This is AMD’s gift to AMD users!
