REVIEW BY: Mark C. Reviewed  Jul 03, 2008

Overall I’m pretty happy with this machine. I bought it to use solely as a home theater PC. So far, it has worked well for this purpose. With the TV card I added to it, it’s just like having Tivo. The main feature I purchased this for was the built in HDMI port. This port works okay, but picture quality is not as good as the tuner in my Samsung plasma. Can’t say I expected much though using the onboard video. Picture quality is just as good using the VGA port. I could not get the sound to work through my TV using HDMI. It does work when hooked up to VGA or if I patch the sound into my stereo. A couple other annoyances that I believe are attributed to Vista not the machine are; the guide shows an extra 1 in front of every channel and shows the same program for all subchannels. This is my first experience with Vista. I had heard a lot of bad things about it, but other than the guide issue, I think it’s alright. The speakers aren’t very good. No comments on mouse/keyboard. Not using.
