This would be higher if it worked as advertised! My machine WILL NOT play HDDVD. It gives me the message to download updates to play movie which I do and then it gives me just sound with a green screen. Tried Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra and same thing. The sound is pathetic. I had better sound from my 3 year old refurbished emachine laptop than this. And Vista, terrible, terrible. Positive, I could not find a better machine hardware wise for the price. Screen clarity is great. Performance is good despite Vista. Plays games considerably well for a laptop in the price range.

I really can’t believe what Acer has put in this laptop and how TigerDirect has priced it. Great laptop. It runs very, very quietly. Plenty of HD space and more RAM than most offer up front. Still getting used to Vista. Really enjoying this system so far. Battery is not the strongest, but on High Performance settings, you do get 1 1/2 hours.

this is about the sweetest laptop i have ever had and for the price it has everything i ever needed. its fast and the intergrated webcam makes video calls on msn messenger. i recommend this laptop to anyone.
