Tiger comes through with another great deal. This Acer AL2223WD 22” is a great value. I almost bought another similar monitor of the same size but decided not to because it’s design would make hooking it up a pain. So I decided to pay a little more for this one which was designed much better and as a computer repair technician I know that Acer has good reputation for both good products and customer service. This monitor is much better than I expected. It has a nice bright, sharp and vivid display. I don’t know about the built in speakers because I never hooked them up but since I’m practically deaf they weren’t a factor in my decision to buy it. It was very easy to setup and the computer recognized it right away. No dead or bright pixels. Also it is huge compared to the old 17” CRT that it replaced. I am very pleased with this monitor. I give it 5 stars across the board.

No, just not thrilled with this monitor, despite the great price. Yes, it is big and bright, but the speakers are the pits, and despite trying for several days to get it right, cannot get a correct aspect for document production. I like the appearance of internet pages and email, but not documents and graphics.

I know I gave it five stars. But it had everything it said it would in the description I read a couiple of guys who reviewed it and whined about no USB ports. If you wanted USB ports, then buy one that says it has them. This one never claimed to have them so dont complain.

I JUST got this monitor hooked it up and was blown away with the quality and the preformance of this Acer monitor! I have had other LCD’s in the past many that cost WAY more than this monitor and they can’t even come close to this quality. My hats off to Acer for a fine quality product! Also a big thank for Tiger Direct, they did it again in price and shipment. Placed the order just two days ago in the evening and the monitor was at my door two days later in the afternoon!!!! If you don’t own one of these monitors you need to beg or borrow the money to get one! Wonderful clear picture good stable overall construction AND NO DEAD PIXELS!!. Lot of space for so little money, thanks Acer and Tiger Direct!!! You guys ROCK!

I have had mine for almost a year. I am an IT Manager, and this is the best LCD monitor I have ever used. Forget the speakers, most monitors do not have speakers anyway. I have never seen an LCD that can get as bright as this one. For office use, you can not beat this and Acer comes with a 3 year warranty. Remember, LCD’s will never replace the quality of a CRT, but Acer is very close. NO dead pixels.

A very good product, that most definitely will not disappoint I bought this monitor after my 360 got the RROD so that I could move it to a better ventilated spot, and it works extremely well A good value, nice picture, the only problem is that there is a little bit of white bleeding at the top and bottom of the screen, but only noticable when playing a dark game

Great value. Tiger sells a similar Acer 22” that doesn’t tilt. I spent the extra money and am glad I did. The only complaint is I can’t get the base to ”click” into the stand. However, I’ve bought close to 50 Acer monitors for work almost all require way too much force to engage.

I’ve had mine for about a month, $199 with the rebate. The display is flawless, works well with the DVI input from an NVidia 8600GT video card. What a great value. My only complaint is that it is not a 24” monitor, but one could hardly expect that for the price (for now). Highly recommended.

I looked at 22in LCDs on TigerDirect for three or four months until caught this Acer at $229. Great price, great product. No dead pixels (TD always good for exchanges, anyway), gorgeous color, got here before confimation email. This is an outstanding product and value if you’re on the fence about a bigger monitor. Also, fuhgeddabout built-in speakers.

WOW! I was actually looking for a 19” Widescreen, but when I saw this I just had to have it. Great picture, very bright, and HUGE! I did have a weird issue when I installed it though. I didn’t load the drivers first (Directions said noting about installing drivers first) so when I booted up I got no picture. I put on my old monitor, but still the same problem. I had to reinstall Vista. NO BIGGIE!

Great monitor. Very bright, good contrast, big, light, decent price, fast shipping, and easy hook up. I didn’t bother with the speakers. It was shipped with one dead pixel and it’s really noticable but there’s a certain rate of failure with LCDs so it’s an issue with the technology, not the monitor. No dig deal. $250 is also a good deal compared with other stores out there. This same monitor could run you $4-500 depending on where you look. I upgraded from a 19” 4:3 lcd from 4 years back and the difference is night and day.
REVIEW BY: Tadd Reviewed Jun 22, 2007I ordered my Acer on 6/18 and recived it on 6/19 and I live in Mich. Wow that was fast! The screen was well packaged and arived in perfect condidtion. No dead pixels. Except for a few adjustments it was bascally plug and play. You do want to use a DVI capable graphics card though. I am using an ATI Radion 1650 512 mg. The adjustments are a bit ackward but how often do you need to use them? I have had it for 4 days now and use it every chance I get. I have not hooked up the speakers and do not intend to as I have surround sound already. The change from my 19” CRT tube is amazing. I have NO bleeding around the edges. An amazing deal at any price! I am VERY pleased with my purchase.

Have had this monitor for 3 months today and only thing I was concerend about was after the second power on of the monitor a veritical purple line appeared but then disappeared instantle. My Acer Laptop that I have has this same line that hasn’t gone away but has just recently turned to a blue one after a year. Other than this small worry I had this thing is great. I did a pixel test and there are still currently ZERO dead pixels. Great buy even when I bought it at $350. No ghosting in movies or games. I must say out of all the monitors I have had this is the best I want to get to more jsut beacuse there so nice and they look great with anything all is good but one thing its not a big thing if you have a 5.1 system and you like to have the senter speaker on the top of your monitor you will have to make a custum holder for the speaker like I did beacuse it wont stay on the top and this monitor isnt a 16×9 its realy a 16×10 witch I thought was realy wierd when I got the box and it said that on it beacuse this site says its a 16×9 when it isnt unless they messed it up on the box witch I dont think happened but if your a gammer and you love to used the true monitors I think you should try widescreen for gamming its so much beter iv been useing true monitors for a long time and wide screen I just like more or its just this 22in acer that did it to me… but any ways this monitor kicks A$$ for you buck even if you dont get it from this site get it !!!!!!

I jumped on the chance to get a 22” widescreen when I saw it on sale here are Tiger. So far, my impressions are that the colors are bright and crisp (better than the crummy image on my 4 yr old laptop). The only issue I had was matching the 1680×1050 resolution, as my graphics driver on my old Gateway laptop didn’t support it. Once I updated the driver (through Microsoft Windows Update), I am now running the LCD as an extended monitor from my laptop. Beautiful! I have also plugged in my cable box to the DVI input and feel that the quality of the picture there rivals my 30” Sanyo tube TV running at 1080i. I lastly attempted plugging in my xbox 360 to the VGA input (hoping for widescreen HD). I was mildly disappointed there because the 360 currently doesn’t offer the correct resolution to match this LCD. I was able to find another resolution on the 360 which works, but you can tell that the image is slightly soft. Overall, this monitor is a great value, worth every penny

REVIEW BY: whc4 Reviewed Feb 15, 2007Definitely the best monitor I have seen or used for the money. The screen is nearly as big as the 24” monitors that cost 3 times as much. The screen is capable of being very bright…I keep the brightness and contrast pretty far down. The resolution (1680 x 1050) is well matched to the screen size (i.e. fonts are not teeny tiny.) I liked it so much that I bought two of them.

This is the first reasonably-priced display I’ve seen with enough area to literally change the way you work. I purchase for users in a corporate environment and have recently stepped up from buying regular 19” monitors, to 19” wide, 20” wide and now to 22” … and what a difference in that last step up was. I can run 2 office apps side by side with no squinting… or a good sized spreadsheet with minimal side scrolling. This is instant productivity enhancement for Excel jockeys and power users. Trouble is, everyone who sees it… wants one!
